Message in these next two pictures you will see the two vent doors with 1/8" trimmed off bottom half of doors. (i used tin snips for this) go slow! be patient.

also you will see where i added foam to the doors and what size foam i used. details on foam strip bellow:

and then:

once you have trimmed the two vent doors and applied the new foam there is one spot inside the upper housing that will need a piece of the brown foam, this is to thoroughly seal the larger vent now that we trimmed an eighth inch off.
here is two images showing that location.

ok now that the we've added the piece of plexi, cut the opening for the filter, made the filters, trimmed and re foamed the vent doors, we can now re assemble everything.

you do this by sliding the actuator bars back into the side of the upper housing, via those two holes.
once bars are slid back in you want the ends to only stick out this much, that way your holes line up with the holes on the vent doors.

remember that you need to position the actuator bar in a certain direction in order to get to the screws for each vent door. refer back to earlier pics.

red painted side of vent doors will face inside the blower motor housing and the outside, foamed side (with the nasty old stick foam residue on it will face outwords.

then after doors are re attached and they open/ close without catching on the plexi glass (mine dont catch AT ALL!!), next you re attach the metal bracket via 3 black screws, then the actuator motor via the 3 gold screws.

then make sure you have re attached thin piece of metal under the plexi layer and secure with 3 black screws.

then you are good to sandwich two halves of blower motor housing back together and re attach all those small metal clips. they just push back on and will click when they are properly seated.

now we are all finished with the filter mod, we just need to wait for our bronze bushing to finish soaking (week tops) and we can re assemble the blower motor, re foam the lip of the blower motor housing, then re attach fan blade and set blower motor/ fan blade into our completed housing. fasten with 3 black screws and re attach black flex hose.

everything is done and ready for install at this point.
